Today I woke up at 3am to make the drive over to Edgewater Florida. I was fishing this morning with Captain Lemmon. Our mission today was to get a slob trout. I was at his door by 545am wide awake believe it or not.
We picked up Tony at the ramp and we were on our way. The first stop was to get some finger mullets to use for bait. Since the monster trout are the most cautious skinny water fish that I know of I had no problem using bait. Meanwhiles 3 hours later.. they refused to eat. I see them but they are just way too spooky and not aggressive this morning.
We decided to throw the white flags on the slob trout and went after redfish. We sight casted 2 redfish on fly and Tony got one on the spin.
